Monitoring
|
|
So what can we monitor you may ask? Well the answer is pretty
much anything. Here is a sample of some of the services we are capable of
monitoring:
-
Connectivity (Ping) - This monitor tells you if your
system is available from our monitors location and can alert based on the
amount of time and how reliable the communications between the two machines
are. This monitor is fairly basic but can yield some important diagnostic
information when troubleshooting a problem.
-
WebPage (HTTP/HTTPS) - This monitor will tell you if
your web page or web application is available. Some advanced features of
this monitor allow you to make sure the proper text is being delivered on
your page, that your SSL cert. is valid or if the page is dynamic that the
proper results are being returned based on input. This is by far the most
popular monitor we offer.
-
Mail (SMTP & POP/IMAP) - These monitors allows
you to monitor the availability of your mailserver processes and response
time.
-
SNMP - This monitor allows you to query any SNMP
based counter and alert on thresholds you set. Examples of how this monitor
can be used is CPU, disk space, network usage and much more.
As indicated these are just a sample of some of the more popular
monitors we offer. If you have a service that requires monitoring and are not
sure if we have a monitor that can handle it drop us a line with a description
of the service you need to monitor. Odds are we either have a monitor or can
develop one for your service in short order. You can contact us at .
